"When I was a young boy, my mother said to me..."

"There's only one girl in the world for you,
and she probably lives in Tahiti."

Whoa, sorry for not updating last Wednesday. It's harder than I thought it would be... and there was no Worldviews or PATH last week because of Labor Day

Anyway so I did go to Acteens on Wednesday, and it doesn't sound as hard as it did last year, so I should be able to handle it. We're gonna help out with these group that helps out pregnant women in bad situations which, and I'm not trying to sound like I'm mocking it or anything, sounds fun. I like helping people (sorry, it's in my nature), and we get to put together little gift baskets with diapers and baby clothes once a month. And this year, we're only attempting to do 8 challenges instead of the 16 we chose last year. And I lot of them sound pretty fun, so I'm praying that it all goes well.

Lets see, I have a bad short term memory... so did anything big happen? Oh yeah...

Chelsea has a boyfriend.

It seems werid saying that, cause it's (just) Josh, and I've known him for like, 2 years, and he's been around a lot recently, so it's not that much of a difference. But my parents aren't like, taking it badly or anything. They know him really well (him and my mom are like, facebook BFFs) and he's a "good kid."

So yeah, nothing's really changed...

Not much happened on Friday or Saturday... so let's cut to the chase.

Sunday:

I woke up around 7, cause I had set the alarm clock across the room, so I had to get up to turn it off. Sadly, I got back in bed afterward, and feel back asleep. So my dad came into my room 5 minutes before Sunday School started, telling me to wake up. He, however, has no idea how long it can take for a teenage girl to get ready. It's not like I'm prissy or anything, it just takes a while, cause I actually use soap.

So anyways I missed the first hour, which is my Sunday School, but I went second hour anyway, cause my whole family was going and I normally help out with kids that hour. Beth put me in the room with the kids that me and Sedona had last year, which is a really fun group, cause they're at the age where it's still fun to have the big kids come in and play with you, and they're can talk back to you. Not in a rude way, in a "that fish is a messy eater" way.

It was me, and Emily Montgomery, and no adult ever came in, so we basically just played the whole time, which is fine by me. We all fed the guppies they keep in the class room, and built trains and played store. I think everyone should spend an hour a week playing cars with 3 year olds. It really gives you a different perspective on the world. I showed Dylan how to do that lawnmower walk (you know, when one person walks with their hands while someone else holds their legs), which was a bad idea, cause he doesn't get tired like, ever. So I let him down, and told him a was out of steam and couldn't go anymore. He ran off to a table by the door, grabbed some air and came running back. Holding out his empty hand, he grinned and told me, "I got you some steam!" No adult ever thinks about it that way, but kids take everything literally, so you apparently have to watch what you say around them.

After church, we grabbed some pizza and went home. I finished my biology, and watched Gilmore girls until I remembered that choir was kicking-off that night. Chelsea came in my room that second to tell me that we should go. Neither of us were sure what time it started, so we got Mommy to check. It had already been going on for a half and hour, so we ran out the door to get to church. When we got there, we had to fill out sheets with all our personal information (as if they don't already have it) and find a table. I snuck up behind Sedona, scared the living-daylights out of her (it was hilarious) and squeezed in between her and Elise. This year for choir they're combining middle and high school, which all the highschoolers are against, cause it used to be a really cool thing to go on the high school mission trip, something people waited for. Sedona really hates the 6th graders, though I really don't know why... I mean, I get it too, they're obnoxious... and they're invading the sactity of high school mission trip but... oh wait, I hate them too

After that was over, I had made quite indefnant plans to invited Elise and Sedona over to watch the Video Music Awards on MTV, cause those things are always funner with friends. But they didn't really know about it, so after calls to parents, and more calls to parents, we all ended up at our house, on my bed, talking. I love them

Anyways the VMAs themselves weren't very good. Interesting yes. But good, no. We watched an hour of people showing up on the red carpet, and "Sway" talking to people on the phone from in a hellicopter. We were all starving, and my mother was at the grocery store, so we (like good teenagers) raided the pantry for food (church cookies, waffles, etc.). When the VMAs actually started, the host was this annoying British guy, with weird hair, who made fun of the Jonas Brothers' (who were there) and their True Love Waits rings. It was harsh.

And there wasn't enough music. Just Lil Wayne's pants almost falling off, Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry showing up in the same car (creepy) and T Pain riding on a elephant.

But Shia LeBouf was there, and that made it better.

Jeeper's, creepers, where'd you get those peepers?

((I've changed my mind to updating every Sunday and Wednesday night. Sunday is everything I did over the weekend, Wednesday is the PATH and WVC post))

Thursday:

Nothing much happened until the evening, when we had to go to church to set up for the PEACH homeschoolers meeting. Mommy had me and Chandler set up chairs and folding tables and I got stuck behind this huge pile of chairs and had to squeeze my way out. Then we had ice cream and me and Chandler hung around some stairs and made pyramids out of creamers.

It took a long time for us to get all the stuff put back in it's place, and I found out that I really do hate tweens. They think they're so cool, but they aren't. They just aren't.

Friday:

I was
working on Biology homework when Chelsea suggested I Naomi and invite invite her to the HSAA football game that night. She said sure and we picked her up a little after six-thirty. The game didn't start until seven thirty, but it was a long drive and we'd never gone there before. It's a good thing we did too, cause it was kind of difficult to find. It was against Rockwall Christian Academy, but it was held at this elementary school in the middle of an old fashioned neighborhood. So basically we drove around for ten minutes looking for an elementary school. We just got there in time, and Chelsea refused to buy a raffle ticket.

About ten minutes into the game, after saying hi to everyone we knew and pointing out the people on the team
we knew to Naomi, we all figured out we really didn't like football. So we snuck under a fence, walked all the way around the field, and went to a playground. We tried to do monkeybars, but it's no fun when your feet touch the ground, so we sat in swings talking about guys and cars and creeps, etc. After we heard a couple huge cheers, we decied it was about time to head back and see what all the fuss was about.

HSAA was catching up, which meant that they did better once we left, which tore our spirits down, so we got drinks. I don't like sports, cause people are cheering too often for you to talk, but we took loads of crappy pictures, and talked about swimsuits and jeans and Mike (Naomi's beau) and how single people are more fun. This went on for an hour, when the game ended, with us loosing miserably.

We stood around for a while, talking to people we knew on the team, and their parents, and other people we knew. We were hungry, and tired, and wanted air-conditioning, so after we got all lost, and called home, and were talked through directions we ended up at the International House of Pancakes, cause it stays open all night. We got stuffed on food, and talked
some more, and Chelsea embarassed herself infront of this guy, and basically had a gay old time.

For some reason, when we were driving home, we decided to go by his house, which was pretty creepy,
seeing as I know which one it is. When we got home, we sat in Chelsea's room, looking at all of someone's pictures. At like three in the morning we decied to sleep, so Naomi wouldn't get sick.

Saturday:

We didn't get up till like, eleven, so we sat around watching cooking shows and Edward Scisscorhands until Naomi had to go home. I laid around some more, and worked on Biology homework and all that jazz.

Sunday:

I always forget it's Sunday so I'll just lie in bed, being all comfy, until someone comes to ask me if I'm up yet. So I hurried to get ready, and was late to Sunday school. What else is new? We talked about holiness, and I felt way less holy than Chelsee... which sort of made me sad...

After that was over, Beth Singleton put me in the room with the kids me and Sedona had last year, Dylan, Brian and these two girls. It was super fun, Brian made us get on this train , but we kept on stopping cause the tracks would stop or the train would run out of gas.
He's great.

I was supposed to wait for Daddy and Grant where we always meet up, but they weren't there. I waited for like, thirty minutes when I decided to give up and find Chelsea. Apperently, they had left already, and she was supposed to drive me home. It sucks that I ha
ve my own car, but I still have to bum rides off of people.

Then Chelsea and Mommy went to go shopping without telling me, only to call the house and tell me to check up on Chandler (she had trown-up the night before, but was now in the family room with a plate of crackers watching Nausicca) and make sure Grant came out of his room (he was on the computer and gave me this weird look). I was mad at them, and sat in bed all day watching Gilmore girls and reading Koukou Debut. After I had worked on biology of course.

Before dinner, I noticed that some bikes were in the backyard, so I decided to adopt my mother's old one and gave it a
bath. It looks a bit like Harvey, but without the ribbon. What kind of freak steals a bike with a ribbon on it?

Wednesday's post

((I update every Wednesday now, like I used to try to, but never did. It really is the best time for me, but this week, since I updated on Monday, all I have to write about is Tuesday and today...))

Tuesday: So last year, when Mr. Tillman was telling us the pros and cons of doing 3 years or 4 years, he told us that if we did it in 4 years, it'd be a slower pace, we'd be able to do more fun stuff, look deeper into everything we do, and we'd have less homework. But really, I didn't think we'd have this much less. Last year, I'd stay up until 2 or so on Tuesday night, get up super early on Wednesday and still just barely finish. This week, I finished at 5 o' clock. In the evening. Not staying up till 5 in the morning working... 5 freaking o' clock. It seemed like a whole new world had been opened to me. I could get a good night's sleep and not be completely out of it on Wednesday. I could pick out my outfit, straighten my hair if I wanted to. But basically, I sat around reading Harry Potter. I have amazing planning skills.

Wednesday: Got up at like 8, but didn't get out of bed until 9, which freaked me out cause normally I'd have like, a paper to write or something, but I was all ready in time, so it didn't help when my mother made me late.

So my Worldviews class used to be the loud, fun/funny, talkative one. We were so rambunctious that one girl moved classes to a quieter one. But now, it's quiet. If someone says something funny, it's to break the awkward silence. I think we're getting better though, we even got off topic and told stories!

I took it upon myself to get everyone's phone numbers and be the snack-lady

I really couldn't face Miss Jean at Acteens, so I skipped it today. It was the first day, so really I should have been there, but I didn't finish last year, and I told her I'd do it over the summer, but I only got a teeny bit done... so yeah... fail

When I showed up, there were all these new 6th graders running in, like they were so cool, cause they were in youth group. Everyone else was just all "pfft, I was here last week." I felt so old. Freshman = lozrs

Tomorrow we have to go set up the church for this PEACH homeschool get together thing. My mother's all worried that more people will show up than usual because they're gonna have ice cream.

lucky star

"So the grown-ups got together and made up the rule..."

"...That kids shouldn't be playing
No they should be in school"

Yes folks, it's that time of year again. The end of summer, the start of a new school year. We're one grade higher, one closer to graduating from this hell forever, only to go into the real world, and find out how easy we had it all that time...

okay, I'm done being all metaphorical... I'm sad that summer's over and happy to see my friends again, blah blah blah.

But wait a minute sir, no I'm not. I'm glad that school's starting. Summer always makes me feel lazy, like there's so much more I could have done, some people go out and change the world over the summer. I went to the beach, to Hicks-ville U.S.A. and the worst camp of all time. But it was fun. It was hectic and fast (waaay too fast) and I got a lot closer to a bunch of people (and changed my opinions on others). I saw some great movies, heard some great songs and read a bunch of books just so I could get the free book for the library's sum
mer reading program. I didn't get any math homework done, but I found out how to rock on RockBand, and even went to a couple parties. My room got redecorated, as did the whole house, in preparation for a beach house. But as summer drew to a close, my favorite swimsuit got eaten by the laundry machine, and I realized school started the week before I thought it did, I looked back on it feeling lonely.

(Why did I just switch to past tense? S
orry)

Anyways I won't be seeing a lot of people from last year this year. The worldviews classes are divided now, with some people taking it in 4 years and some in 3 years. So all the kids who used to be in my class who are taking the 3 year course are in different classes. And a lot of my friends are form church, and I've been seeing them all summer. But I will get to see a lot of people once PATH really starts, and meet new people who just started (like Dane, who I might get to later).

So in short, summer was fun, way too short, but I like having more of a schedule, and I like seeing a lot of people.

Well, anyways, Biology and Worldviews both started last week. We have this new-to-PATH lady as our Biology teacher, who Tori describes as "cut-throat", and she sort of is. We were looking into microscopes today, and drawing what we saw, and she said that mine and Saffyre's could have been better. I don't like it when people tell me something I worked hard on sucks (who does?) so we kinda sorta changed the pictures, and that seemed to please her.

Prairie Creek is all under-construction, so we have to work around all of these exposed wires and wet-paint signs. But I love the construction smell, and I'm used to it, so I'm fine with all that. And I got to see Naomi, Sophie and Jessica again, but they're all in Chemistry, so I don't really see them. And this new kid, Dane, is in chemistry with them so I'm jealous... cause he's cute. Last week, we took Naomi home with us, and we told Chelsea about Dane, who wanted to know more about him, so we looked him up on the family register (which probably itsn't what it's for) and then Naomi added him on Facebook. Then (for some bizarre reason) we looked up his address on mapquest. Two blocks. He lives approximately two blocks down from me, right next to Wells Elementary. I drive by there all the time. So today, when we were driving home, I told mommy to drive so that we could pass his street. But when we got to it, she turned onto it. That was a bit too creepy for my taste, so I was all freaking out when she asked me what he looked like. "Well," I said "I'm not really sure. I haven't seen his face that clearly, but he was wearing a purple shirt today - " "Hey, there's someone in a purple shirt!" And sure enough, there he was, getting something out of the back of a car. So we drove by, failing at looking inconspicuous. So now I know exactly where his house his. CREEPER.

"Then, and only then, will I stop talking to myself..."

So I was sitting on the couch today, thinking about how much I've missed since the last time I updated this thing. Driver's Ed, my beetle bug Maurice, babysitting, the creepers, our end of summer after school's already started party, mission trip (which I didn't go on), attempting to buy a beach house, Chelsea's speeding ticket (which actually happened today, but still). I'm gonna try and update whenever possible. That's my goal for this school year, to get good grades, update this, and actually meet Dane.

Yeah, that's pretty much my life.

Chloe Camille

"His life is dedicated to saying things like 'YES' and 'You better believe it!'"

Ha ha ha.

So me and Grant and Chelsea got back from camp yesterday, and today we're leaving for Gatlinburg. Hectic I know, that's why I'm not going on Mission Trip, cause it's the day after we get back... and I still haven't packed yet...

my little camp notes:

"My life sucks..."

"Awwww"

Haha

Low Points:

JAY - obsessed with dying, his greatness, and memorizing Bible verses
Free Time - waaay too long, with nothing to do.

So we sat around in golf carts and pirate ships and named guys and felt like the rejects in the cafeteria
Tuesday Night - 'nuff said
Smoking Buses - After 2 hours guitar center gets pretty boring.

The Bathroom/ shower - crowded and tiny and GROSS
How Everyone Else looked not-sweaty and Dressed Up for Worship - Our church wasn't informed of anything

(If you don't believe me, ask my nine year old daughter Kaylie!!!)

High Points:

Bashing Jay: Seriously, mocking him that one night was stinking great, and how all the adults agreed with us was even better
Megaphones: One free time Elise, Chelsea and I walked around with our church's megaphone and shouted things that are good to know, but that got boring, so we started to quote movies.
Naming guys: Let us never forget;
Slippers/ Jake
Austin/ Zach
DJ/ TJ
the dodgeball kid
the matching couple
HUDSON/ BLAKE!

"When there's nothing to do, WHAT WILL THEY DO?!"

ohmygosh, that was the best crappiest camp ever

"Zach's not Australian! Quit falling for his stupid lies!"

Apparently that's gonna be a legend, like when Kyle was in the air-vents at breakaway...

I'm kinda gonna miss it, not the cafeteria and stupid Jay, but mocking him, and being lewd in golf carts, and having the highlight of the day be walking to the cafeteria to use the bathroom...

Ty Lee / Teen Girl Squad

Always believe in yourself. Do this and no matter where you are, you will have nothing to fear."

Thursday-Friday: Last 2 days of VBS. I promised to give piggybacks to everyone, so that was like all I did during snacks. It took us a while to get out of there, cause we had to say goodbye to everyone, and give hugs and all that.

Friday night I went over to babysit the Howells. Everything went fine, except Shiloh (their dog) kept trying to eat weird things, and she rolled a tennis ball like, under the kitchen cabinets so Micah had to climb into this really tiny cupboard to get it out. After I put them in bed, there really wasn't anything good on tv, so I watched The Twilight Zone until they got back.

Saturday: Hmmm... I don't really know what happened... I was supposed to do something with Naomi, but I couldn't think of anything... so I laid around the house all day..

Sunday: Woke up too late and couldn't get ready for church in time, so I stayed home and watched Bubble Boy on tv. It's freaking hilarious. Plus the main girl is named Chloe.
"You're not a singing group, you're a cult!"

I had to text around to get information on this sleepover thing at Mrs. Henson's house, but I made it there on time. We went swimming, and took jumping pictures before dinner. After everyone had eaten we sat around and shared memories or things we liked about everyone. It was amazing, I love those girls.

Until like, one in the morning all we did was run around and take pictures and watch this show about this blind kid who could see with echolocation, and everyone agreed he was kind of a jerk, like he thought he was better than all the other blind kids.

Then, possibly the best game of Truth or Dare ever. I ate this crazy sandwich, Madeleine was about to go skinny dipping, and tons of other bizarre stuff. It was great fun. We were up till like, 4:30

Monday: I didn't get up till 10ish, and Elise, Danni and Madeleine had already left, which made me sad, and then Katie got picked up. I went and ate some breakfast pizza, and when Chelsee woke up me and her looked at a cake decorating book and talked to Mrs. Henson until my mother came.

On the way home we drove through a car wash, which was kind of surreal, since I was super tired and everything seemed really weird. The rest of the day I was trying to sleep, but I woke up eventually and showered and watched tv.

Tuesday: Lazy lazy, but I did get like 4 pages of my David book done for Acteens.

Wednesday: Woke up too late and was lazy until like 5:47, when I realized I had told Madeleine I'd give her something as a going-away present. So I went and painstakingly (not really, but there was a good deal of thought put into it) made her a cd of songs I thought she'd like. (here's the list with it's awesome title)

The Technicolor Butterfly Hour:

*Agua Del Pozo by Alex Cuba
*If She Knew What She Wants by the Bangles
*Why Can't I? by Liz Phair
*We Live for Love by Pat Benetar
*Dancing with Myself by Billy Idol
*Daydream Believer by the Monkees
*Beauty and the Beast (from the movie)
*Big Sky by Rachel Loy
*Dreams by the Cranberries
*Time on Your Side by Emily Jane White
*Open Your Eyes by Snow Patrol

Like it? I love all those songs

I wrote them all out on this giant pink post-it note and stuck them in a cd case. We drove through Arby's and I ate all my food in the car so that I didn't have to eat at church. When I got there I sat on the curb with Katie and Chelsee and we had this really bizarre conversation about birth control and periods. Yeah, awkward. We went inside and sang and the girls went into the VIP room, which got too crowded with all of us, and Kelsey and Kelly interrupted Stacy, which was hilarious cause she got all mad.

After that, me and Katie waited around outside, and hugged Madeleine goodbye, and it started to rain, so I ran under the cover. When my mother picked me up she told me that we needed more milk and stuff cause Grant's friend Zach was spending the night and he eats a lot of food. So we went to Tom Thumb and walked around and had a good time... well I did, I like grocery shopping, I'm weird that way.

I've got no plans for a while, so I really should do tons of math and Acteens stuff.

hiitachin twins!

"Besides that Mrs. Lincoln..."

"... how was the show?"

I'm updating every Wednesday.

"Don't stay in here all day you guys. I took the batteries out of the carbon monoxide detector because it was beeping all night."

"Did you play the retarded quarterback? Are you really retarded? I can't believe you're not really retarded!"

This week's Vacation Bible School. They didn't ask me what grade I wanted when they were signing people up to help, so they stuck me with 1st grade like last year. This year's theme is supposed to be like a Theme Park, and the videos really suck. Like the movie they show every day, that continues all week. Yeah, it's crap.

But the kids are really fun. And we don't really have any extra bad kids, and they all like to answer questions. They also like to talk a lot. It's good.

Alex told me that when he grows up he's gonna be three things, a doctor, a fireman, and a teacher. And at some point he's gonna go to space, and the moon, and if he finds an alien he's gonna put it in a cage and bring it back.

Yesterday we had pancakes for dinner than went to see Stomp at the Music Hall at Fair Park. It was awesome, kind of cause it wasn't that long but mostly cause it amazing. There's no talking, but you can still see the character types. That guy in the red shorts, who had like, no skills. And they were all ripped. As in "that bodybuilder sure is ripped."

(( I love how in Garden State, when they ride in the motorcycle/sidecar thing, they all wear helmets. Like, they do drugs, and drink insanely, and do tons of crazy things but they still wear helmets. ))

Today after VBS, me and Mommy and Chandler went to Chic-Fil-A. It was really crowded and I almost got hit by a car. They had this little box inside, that said "kid's stuff", and inside was a little place-mat thing, with sticky stuff on the back for you to stick on the table-top. I used it when I got home, to eat my lunch on.

At like 3 o' clock (I had been watching Gilmore Girls) we realized Chelsea still wasn't home, so Mommy had me call her. Turns out she was at Blockbuster, with Josh Maxwell and David Herron. They were going to rent a movie, and come over to our house to watch it. My mother was sleeping on the couch at the time, and she was sort of mad. They watched Disturbia on the tv in my parent's room.

At church, Mrs. Pittman talked to us about why girls need God, and how God is our "intimate friend" and that made Elise giggle, which made me giggle.

On Friday, I'm babysitting the Howells, and I'm supposed to do something with Naomi on Saturday, and Sunday night, Mrs. Henson is having something or another and her house, and I'm totally going.

Later days,

"Be happy. Be haaappy."

"This is Planet Earth, Agent White, do you read me?, over. Today, I kept the peace on this planet, over. This planet is very peaceful, over and out!"

So basically Tekkon Kinkreet is like, this best movie ever. It made me laugh and cry like, 16 million times.

Next anime movie on my list, Paprika. Entertainment Weekly loves it.

Yes this mean's I'm back from my hiatus. It was fun I guess, I like getting away from everything, and isn't tha
t the point of a vacation?

pfft, I don't know how to organize this...

The Drive:

was 10 hours, roughly. Pensacola's just on the border of Alabama and Florida, so it wasn't actually that far, a lot shorter than driving to Miami or Orlando. On the way there, I was texting Vivian, and my dad made us stop in Shreveport Louisiana cause he wanted to eat at this restaurant he saw on Food Network. On the way back we drove in and out of rainstorms and slept and watched movies.

The Island:

So basically we told everyone we were going to Pensacola Florida, but really we went to Pensacola Beach, which is an island 2 islands off the main coast. It's awesome, because everyone judges distance by how many bridges you have to cross. My mother spent her highschool years in a little tiny town nearby, and one of her old friends, this guy named Todd, lived on the Island, so we went to visit him one day. We also went to look at houses one day, cause my mother wants a beach house. They're so cute, cause they're all bright colors and are up on stilts in cause of hurricanes. And some of them are really bizarre, this one dome house, and one with a UFO built on top of it and in inflatable alien in the front door, and one that was like the Rocket Power house and had it's own half-pipe in the yard.

Chelsea like the island, cause everyone basically just walks around in swimsuits all day "Minimal amounts of clothing."  You'd go into a restaurant, or be walking on the street, and everyone's just in bikinis or trunks.

The Beach:

I kind of don't like the beach. This one had tons of jelly-fish in the water, and dead ones lying on the sand, and crabs at night that pinch your toes. Sand gets all up your butt, and if you're not careful, you get a sunburn.

But they're also kind of nice, the sun feels so warm, and water's nice and cold, and you can dig for shells, and lay in the sand and let the water come up all around you.

The Church:

So since my mother grew up near where we were, Sunday morning we went to her old church, which was weird cause all these old people knew her when she was little, and this one guy was introducing us to the youth leader as "Lacee Bruno's kids" and the guy was like "well, you didn't need to tell me that."

Apparently I look the most like her

But the sermon given by the pastor, Fred Funches, was super boring.

The Naval Base:

So like, the second day we were there, my dad made us go to this Naval Base that was nearby, cause he wanted us all to get Military ID cards. We got to go into an "Authorized Personnel Only" area, and everyone was in uniforms, and I felt very special. But apparently all the ID cards are good for are shopping at commissaries on Military bases, cause you know I frequent army bases.

But there was also a museum near it, so we watched an Imax, and looked at airplanes, and climbed inside old ones, and pushed buttons and fun stuff like that.

The Dinner:

Saturday night we had dinner with my mother's best friend from highschool and her family. She only has one daughter, but she's between be and Chelsea's age (name of Shelby). Everyone talked, about books and school, Mexican restaurants and bread that looked like meat, texting and tons of other stuff. It was great fun.

We got home last night, and we got our pets back this morning. We had to go to Wal-Mart, to restock our house, and got tons and tons of food.

Lorelai: "Way taller."

Luke: "What are you up to, Taylor? Are you breeding giant horses?"

Taylor: "It’s slightly out of proportion."

Babette: "Slightly? That little guy there could walk right under the horse without even ducking."

"Situation number 4, the one that left you wanting more"

Have you ever had a moment in your life, when everything unexpectedly falls into place, and you just know everything's going to be fine? The past five days have felt just like that for me.

The truth is, I really didn't want to go to Breakaway. Only a small group was going, and I was afraid I was going to be lonely and that I'd have no one to talk to, or sit with, or hang out with. But as you'll see (if you keep reading, it's kind of confusing) it wasn't that way at all.

Friday: I think that morning we went to Target, to get clothes for our team's color's. I was supposed to be on the yellow team, and no one makes yellow clothes, so it was kind of hard. When we got home from Target, me and Chelsea packed and ate pizza and mommy drove us up to the church. They had a school bus for us to ride on, and we put all our luggage in various people's pick-up trucks. The ride was long, and bumpy, but weirdly fun. I talked to Mr. Poteete, and Robbie slept in the aisle, and I found out the yellow team was me and Brittney and a bunch of seniors. When we got there, after some confusion, we got our stuff to our "cabins" (the place looked more like a hotel) and headed to the couch room. This place is amazing. Think of couches on different levels going down, like an inverted pyramid. All the couches were deep, and soft, and ate you when you sat down. We had worship and sermons there. After we had our first session, we went out to the field to play a mix of frisbee, and football, but with glowsticks on everything. I didn't sleep very well that night, but I never do the first night at camp.

Saturday: We didn't have breakfast until 9, so I'd get up at 8:30 and go shower in the unused cabin next to ours. The food at this place was amazingly good, and I love how you don't have to worry about it, you just go and eat whatever they serve you. After breakfast, we sort of had free time until session. At the sessions, I'd draw while I listened, in the notes section. After session, we had "break-out" time. We were in different groups, and since the camp had a movie theme, we'd watch part of a movie, and it would somehow relate to our discussion. It was amazingly fun, and sort of awkward. After lunch, we had competitions. We played volleyball, and human foosball. I have no athletic skills whatsoever, but the rest of my team did, so it was okay . After that we had free time. A few people got pushed into the pool, and I played tons of 4-square with Josh, Brett, Aaron, and sometimes Nancy and Sarah. Aaron is 5 and got me out so many times it wasn't even funny. After freetime we had dinner, session, cabin time (which was our cabin group discussing the session), and some sort of activity. Saturday we had a "concert", which was pretty much the worship band (and Seth) playing whatever they knew, and some people singing/dancing along. It was pretty random.

Sunday: We had to have breakfast in the Party Barn, cause the cafeteria doubles as a church. During competition we played Nuke-Em and dodgeball. Yellow Team is seriously amazing at everything, and won like 2 games of dodgeball, and a lot of Nuke-Em. I once again evaded getting thrown into the pool, and sat on the side of the hot-tub instead. After session, we had "extended worship". The guy that sung at D-Now (with the crazy hair) was there, and everyone cried and felt moved. After that, we played Christians and Romans. It was like extreme tag/capture the flag/Predator and Prey. The Romans got flashlights and tried to tag the Christians and take them to jail, but the Christians were trying to start an underground church. About 6 people got seriously hurt in this game. Courtney fell off a balcony and landed on her butt. Carson fell off the same spot, but instead landed on a swinging-chair cover. Angela (and Sarah?) fell down some gravel and got all scraped up. Some people twisted ankles, and everyone got tackled by Robbie.

Monday: During competitions, we had a big movie relay (but this might have been Sunday... I can't remember). There were tons of stations, which involved doing make-up blindfolded, crawling through mud, eating Velveeta cheese, water balloons, digging around in diapers filled with pudding, and various other things. Green Team won, and I think Yellow came in 3rd... but it was pretty fun. And then Stacy got thrown into the pool, and that started everything. I think Jessie was next (and she had her phone in her pocket) and then everyone got thrown in. Well, Becka and Kyle were left. Logan wasn't sure if it was okay to throw Becka in, so he tried to be polite about it, and carried her all the way down from the honeymoon sutie to the pool, and jumped in with her. It was so cute. But there was still one left. All the guys went to go find Kyle, and they checked all the rooms, and the field, and the bathrooms, and the couch room. There was no where else he could go, right? We all though that, until someone in the cafeteria screams "He's in the vents!" Mike finds him, and sort of gets him out, and Brett tackles him the field and they toss him in. It turns out he wasn't really in the vents, just next to them, under the couch room. After dinner and session, we had Western/ Hip Hop night in the Party Barn. We western danced to hip hop music, and when everyone got tired, we had a birthday party for Robbie (18!) and karaoke which was hilarious. I don't know what we're gonna do for entertainment when the seniors graduate. That night was probably the weirdest of my life. Nancy got "lost", the seniors woke everyone up (and filmed it), the junior girls came into our cabin, and it took me forever to fall asleep.

Monday: We packed, and had one more session, and while we were waiting for the bus, Kyle showed me and Nancy where he hid. You can see into the cafeteria from it. The bus showed up, and everyone climbed on. Brett sang along to every song that came on his ipod, Mary had to pee, and I could not got comfy. When we got back to the church, we stood around and talked until people got picked up. I always feel weird coming back from camp. I miss it. My room is so quiet at night, and it's hard to make your own food. But those memories, of splashing in pools, and playing 4-square, and that need for more cowbell, and that fact I'll see all these people on Sunday really keeps me going.

I have to spend the rest of my break working, but I don't really mind. I had an amazing time.

Maybe we could sleep in

(( this is stupid,
all my worrying,
I'll get some horns,

Saturday: noooothing but school and television. It was a very nice day though, weather wise.

Sunday: Took my camera and some party invitations to church. I was late, and I only handed out like 4 invitations... In Chandler's class I opened the blinds and took a bunch of pictures of the kids in that class. I think I'm pretty good at it, taking pictures. We all took our shoes off and played a stupid hand holding circle game and read these cards with those lame "what would you do in this situation?" questions.

Monday: worst PATH day in the history of ever

First Hour - I decided to quit Spanish, so I went to the debate class, but I got kicked out by Mrs. Harms, so I went to Study Hall and read a chapter of Church History in Plain Language. It was freezing cold and dull

Second Hour - Sat and doodled in M.A.

Third Hour - Played with shaving cream in Rubber Stamping (don't even ask) and Misa threatened Micah some more.

Lunch - Found out Naomi wasn't there, on account of her being sick. Ate tuna sandwiches and was distressed, cause someone else wasn't there, but I already knew they weren't going to be there... I felt lonely and friendless.

Fourth Hour - Battery experiments and I almost feel asleep.

Fifth Hour - Study Hall again. I seriously could not concentrate so I looked at Josiah's band catalog with Sy and listened to music.

After PATH - Helped Emma and her little brother try to sell Girl Scout cookies. We sold like 10 boxes, so it was all good, but we were standing outside and we were all freezing.

When we got home, I basically did nothing. Seriously, it was mostly television and food.

I feel terrible and I need Wednesday to hurry up and get here.

Lee's kiss

tattoos and dancing lessons

Wednesday is always the most interesting day of my week. So I always try to write about it.

Today I had to get up early and finish my paper. We had to give Socrates', Plato's, and Aristotle's answers to the seven vital questions. It wasn't that hard, but mine turned out to be four pages, so it was a lot of typing.

Anyway, before I typed it, I made some blueberry muffin mix, cause we had like 7 in our pantry. I love muffins, but I've never been a big breakfast eater so I just took two.

After I finished typing my paper I got dressed, and tried to wake Grant up, and played on our piano until my mother took me to McKinney for Worldviews Class (WVC).

I was early for WVC so I stood around and talked to Chelsea and some girl from her class about scalping tickets for the masquerade when Mr. Tillman came up. A couple of days ago I decided to put on a temporary tattoo of a one-eyed dog that had come with some all-natural frozen kid's meal Chelsea had gotten. Mr. Tillman got all mad at me and told me to wash it off. I tried to argue, but I lost (which is sort of foreboding for the final year, one-on-one debates with Mr. T).

In the bathroom I talked to Abby about gay guys having cool chandeliers.

When class really started, Mr. T told everyone to go the sanctuary so we can learn to dance. Our class has a guy/girl ratio of 5/11. This is not good news for partner dancing. Not at all.

So I was a guy for a couple of the dances. It got really confusing. But not as confusing as lefts-and-rights. Poor Sarah-Hope kept on getting laughed at by Roberto.

After some other confusing dances (so many steps! and Mrs. Cummings kept yelling at us) we had break (popcorn and these cookies that were like ice-cream cones) and then real class. Mr. Tillman talked about the purpose of the Aeneid and dads calling him to ask about the boy who likes their daughter.

After WVC we went back home to pick up everyone else so we could go to the mall. I had to tell the Apple store I didn't need a fixed mini, because I already bought a nano. We ate Chic-fil-a in the food court then headed to delia*s cause Chelsea needed more shirts. I got some stuff too, skirts and underwear.

Mommy dropped me and Chelsea off at home, cause I didn't want to go to Acteens for personal reasons (aka I hadn't done any of the homework stuff we're supposed to). I watched Hare+Guu and tried on my stuff I'd bought.

Church was good, and I think I'm gonna miss the Annex for two whole months.

After Mosaic was over, I had decided I didn't want to ride home with Chelsea so I ran off to look for my mother. Mommy remembered that we need a bunch of stuff from the grocery store so she told me to call Chelsea and tell her our plans. After a very confusing phone conversation, we were all headed home to pick up Chelsea. I didn't really feel like going, so I stayed at home and practiced my piano.

They all returned, with sushi and gum and snack food for Chelsea to take to Austin tomorrow.

Tomorrow I am most definitely getting up early and getting all my school work done so me and Mommy can go shopping for a masquerade outfit for me.

"amputees with stamp collections"

"Plywood skinboards ride the ocean
Salty noses, suntan lotion
Always seriously joking
and rambunctiously soft-spoken
I like boys that like their mothers
And I have a thing for brothers"

This always happens to me.

Whenever I finish a manga, or an anime, or a movie, or book or tv series,

it sticks with me.

And it's always different.

I just now finished Absolute Boyfriend. I seriously bawled. It reminded me of A.I. All Night
wanted was for Riiko to be happy. He had more feelings than some real people I know. And when
they put him in that glass case, to never get old, and never get destroyed, I couldn't hold
back the salty tears.

At the cliffhanger ending of My So-Called Life, I felt really weird inside. Like I new Angela
should totally get over Jordan Catolano, and I felt bad that Brain Krakow's life was totally
ruined, but he sort of brought it on himself. And how Rayanne's last lines were "Ya know what's
really laughable? That I have ,like, no friends."

When I finished Ouran High School Host Club, I felt a mixture of giddyness and depression.
Everything was fine, the twins had learn to let people in. Kyoya realised how grateful he was
to Tamaki for helping him realise he can surpass his older brothers. Tamaki found out he loves
Haruhi. That all made me feel good. But the little ending scene, with the host club's motto,
and its location, and that "come by and visit us soon" made me realise it was all just a story
someone made up. I wished I could go to the host club. Everyone needs to feel special "...Even
if I was paying $230498230498234 an hour." (to quote Vivian Ge)

Spirited Away always make me really pleased. Chihiro has found her real self! She can live her life with a
new confidence. But Miyazaki said she doesn't remember anything that happened to her in the spirit world,
and that made me pretty sad.

Fooly Cooly made me sort of happy. That whole series made no sense, so maybe now Noata's life will get back
to normal. And I liked how he kept Haruko's guitar, that was bitter-sweet, cause he totally loved her.

It's 2 o' clock in the morning now, and church is tomorrow, so I'm leaving one more note.

I reallly don't want Naruto to ever end.

Ever.

Past and Present

"I want to meet you now, and give you, a sweet person, a cherry blossom kiss"

Sorry for disappearing. I've been busy, doing something and nothing at all.

Monday: PATH was pretty normal. My mother went and got me a Starbucks, and it dripped on my fingers. Joslynn and I whispered and it was all fun, until Mrs. Epstein told us we had to listen to these tapes with this lady with a really thick accent sing the countries and capitals from South America and Mexico. Not fun. She had a recording of a recording, and she gave us ,like, a recording of that recording. You have to turn the volume all the way up to hear anything, but you still can't really make out words.

After Spanish we went home, and I did my science homework until science started. We did this experiment that involved smashing eggs, but I still don't see what it had to do with what we're studying.

I had decided to drop logic, due to having too much homework. My mother was helping out in some class, or writing up class schedules or something, so me and Grant sat around. I listened to my ipod, and he (being a bigger geek than me) played runescape.

When we got home, I vegged out, and watched Pretty Woman.

Tuesday: Worldviews homework all day. Well, not really. I got up late, and then my mother decided to put on a movie, and Chelsea told me to make cookies, so I started at around 5. It wasn't that much work though, so I got it done and went to bed.

Wednesday: I slept in too late, and hurried to finish my vocabulary and get out the door. Worldviews is really bizarre. The homework amount is massive, so you always think about just quitting. But then you get to class, and Mr. Tillman tells you weird (and sometimes frightening) stories, and all your discussions get off topic, and you sort of think "How could I possibly quit this? What would I do Wednesday?" Anyways, we talked about censorship, and playing songs backwards, and movie ratings. I burnt my mouth on hot chocolate in snack, and Mr. T read us The Children's Story, which is creepier than it sounds.

I always get really sleepy in Mosaic, and yawn like a ton. That night was a special worship night. We sang. I like singing in church, but they had these crazy lights, that were distracting.

Thursday: Cleaned my room all afternoon. I love having a clean room. It makes my room look really huge.

At six we left, cause my mother wanted to go to the movie rental place before the D-Now banquet. Chelsea kept on guessing times we'd get to different places, and my mother rented Evening, which is about this dying woman remembering her life. How depressing.

At the banquet, the Annex was all decked out in racing paraphernalia. I can't wait to see the shirts. There was a wii boxing competition, and we ate sloppy joes, and discussed our plans for creaming the ochos locos this year. There are only like, four of them though.

I think D-Now is my favorite church camp. It's not too long. You're at a real house with heating and a/c. If you get sick, you can go home, and come back if you get better. It's just our church, and all the helpers are people from our church. It's really (really really really really) fun.

I don't think I can wait till tonight!

Always singing along,
Chloe Camille

So so.

I never know what to say here. Should I fill you in on my day? I think so.

For fun, it's divided into hours (I know, how's that fun?)

12:00 am = Took shower and continuted to read The History of Philosophy, which would have been a better book if we didn't have to take notes on it.

1:00 am = Went downstairs to get pizza. I dislike working at night. I always get nervous and hungry, which makes me feel like I'm gonna hurl.

2:00 am = Read my last chapter if The History of Philosophy. It was pretty pointless. Just about schools that were influenced by Socrates. Blah. Typed vocabulary and went to bed.

3:00 am to 7:38 am = sleep

7:38 am = Woke up early so I could leave with Chelsea to her worldviews class so I could see the Shakespeare plays. She drove away right when I was getting to the top of the stairs though. I didn't really know what to do with my time. My class doesn't start until noon. So I made waffles in the Mickey Mouse iron. They were wonderful.

8:40 to 10:30ish = Got dressed and goofed around on the computer. I really don't know what I was doing. I can't remember...

10:30 am = My mother drives me up to worldviews. We both go inside because she has to give the grader a check for the classes. It's expensive, and that's lame. It's like paying for tourture.

10:45 to 11:30 am = Sat in Chelsea's class and watched them re-watch some of the performances. They were pretty funny. Kylie's musical ablitly, and Robyn dodging her, wonderful.

11:30 to 12:00 pm = Stole Chelsea's cloak and swished around in it. Very fun. I felt like Batman. We pretended to be innocent people being attacked. Some innocent people did get hit by the sword...

12:00 to 3:00 pm = My worldviews class. Mr. Tillman explained some more of Socrate's worldview and told stories and gave out too much homework, as always. Really now. Is tons of stuff on Plato really necessary? I'm totally praying Jesus comes back like... tomorrow. Then I won't have any homework! Also, Josh forgot to bring snacks so we ate some of Bethany's leftover pretzels and goldfish.

3:00 to 5:00 pm = came home and ate leftover pizza and watched tv and tried to sleep (failed). We had grilled cheese for dinner (and I'm getting hungry) and I was too out of it to go to Acteens so me and Chelsea...

6:00 to 7:00 pm = me and Chelsea watched Avatar. It would have been better if I knew what was happening. Chelsea was all shocked that Avatar is so deep.

7:00 to 8:30ish pm = Mosaic. Nathan talked about spiritual gifts. I wasn't really paying attention. Too tired. Me and Chelsea drove home and listened to the radio.

8:48 to 9:00 pm = Listened to Chelsea complain about the drama in her life. Ate ice cream like a savage.

9:00 to 10:00 pm = Bubble bath. Very nice, but I'm always bad about juding how hot the water should be so it started getting cold. Not fun.

10:00 to 10:40 pm = updating this. I think I'm gonna go watch Please Twins and then sleep. I'm totally wiped out. It's not fun. And I miss Pushing Daises. That was like, the best thing that ever happened to television.

Always just an observer,
Chloe

We interrupt this program to bring you:

The  Evolution of Haruno Sakura

So basically I used to hate her guts cause she was whiney and complaining and she got on my nerves. But in Shippuuden, when she fights Sasori, it's amazing. She's wonderfully strong and smart. And before that, when she heals Kankuro. Awesome. Sakura's probably my new favorite character.

But that's what 3 years without Sasuke distracting you will do.

We know return to your regularly scheduled lives.
